Sheep Shearing Course – 27th May

If anyone is interested in learning how to shear sheep then Bill will be running a course on the 27th May 2018 – contact Katy Newman on for more information.  The cost of the course is £50 per person with a £20 deposit per person required by the 13th of May with the remainder payable in cash on the day of the course.

DSA members are eligible to apply for the smallholding course subsidy of £15 per person.

Time: 09:30am to 16:00pm

Location: Broadholme Farm, Broadholme, Matlock Road, Belper, De56 2JE

Clothing: Foot wear – old trainers (not wellies or hard boots). Clothes – Practical clothes/fleece (no overalls) and a towel.

Refreshments: Please bring plenty of cool and hot drinks and food for lunch.

Other considerations: The course is physically demanding so be prepared for hard graft.

We are informed that there is no specific insurance cover for the course so, if needed, please sort this out before attending.

Also be aware that the course may be cancelled at short notice due adverse weather or other factors.
